چکیده
Accurate tooth volume segmentation is a prerequisite for computer-aided dental analysis. Deep learning-based methods have achieved satisfying performances but require large quantity of data with ground truth. The publicly available limited meaning the existing can not be reproduced, evaluated and applied in clinical practice. In this paper, we establish 3D CBCT dataset CTooth+, 22 fully annotated volumes 146 unlabeled volumes. We further evaluate several state-of-the-art strategies based on fully-supervised learning, semi-supervised learning active define performance principles. This work provides new benchmark task, experiment serve as baseline future AI-based imaging research application development. codebase are released here.

متن کاملEffective dose range for dental cone beam computed tomography scanners.
OBJECTIVE To estimate the absorbed organ dose and effective dose for a wide range of cone beam computed tomography scanners, using different exposure protocols and geometries. MATERIALS AND METHODS Two Alderson Radiation Therapy anthropomorphic phantoms were loaded with LiF detectors (TLD-100 and TLD-100 H) which were evenly distributed throughout the head and neck, covering all radiosensitiv...
متن کاملQuantification of tooth displacement from cone-beam computed tomography images.
INTRODUCTION The objectives of this study were to demonstrate a method that could be used to quantify three-dimensional (3D) tooth displacement from cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) images and to assess its accuracy. METHODS Images of the same mandible taken 2 weeks apart with no treatment were used. Four mandibular teeth-left lateral incisor, left canine, left first premolar, and left fi...
متن کاملComparison of in vivo 3D cone-beam computed tomography tooth volume measurement protocols
BACKGROUND The objective of this study is to analyze a set of previously developed and proposed image segmentation protocols for precision in both intra- and inter-rater reliability for in vivo tooth volume measurements using cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) images. METHODS Six 3D volume segmentation procedures were proposed and tested for intra- and inter-rater reliability to quantify ma...
متن کاملCan Dental Cone Beam Computed Tomography Assess Bone Mineral Density?
Mineral density distribution of bone tissue is altered by active bone modeling and remodeling due to bone complications including bone disease and implantation surgery. Clinical cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) has been examined whether it can assess oral bone mineral density (BMD) in patient. It has been indicated that CBCT has disadvantages of higher noise and lower contrast than conventi...
